THE New Zealand government is allocating 18 scholarship slots to Filipinos who wish to obtain post-graduate degrees in their universities for SY 2014.

Bato Balani Foundation Inc. (BBFI) is a non-government organization and is the exlusive contractor for the New Zealand-Asean Scholars (NZAS) awards program in the Philippines. BBFI hopes to shortlist 30 scholarship applications for SY 2014.

After completing the two-year postgraduate education in New Zealand, scholars are encouraged to return to the Philippines to contribute to the country’s social or economic development for at least two years.
