DFA: PH, Indonesian authorities to meet after Ramadan on Veloso case

Philippine Embassy in Jakarta is currently arranging a meeting between the Department of Justice (DOJ) and its Indonesian counterpart in order for both sides to discuss the status of the case of Filipino death-row convict Mary Jane Veloso.

According to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), the fact that there is a meeting being scheduled between government agencies of the Philippines and Indonesia to talk about Veloso’s case proves that there is no truth to reports that Veloso will be executed after Ramadan. Read more…
